Emie Hughes has been named Development Associate, Alumni Relations. In her new role, Emie is a frontline fundraiser focusing on alumni engagement and programming. Emie joined the Tisch development team in 2015 as an Administrative Aide. During her time in this role, she has performed prospect management for the team, co-managed the Tisch Parents' Council, and produced many Parents' Council-specific events. She also co-manages ticketing and seating for the annual Tisch Gala.
Emie graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a major in Dance from Dickinson College, where she was awarded the Weiss Prize in the Arts for her choreography and performance research. Outside of Tisch, Emie is a choreographer and visual artist. She has performed at Danspace Project, Terminal 5, Invisible Dog Arts Center, Federal Hall, Gibney Dance, and has shown original dance works at Bowery Poetry Club, Dixon Place, the Brandywine River Museum, Triskelion Arts, and other NYC venues. She has also showcased her artworks at Rabithole Gallery. Previously, Emie was Box Office Manager at Danspace Project and she is a regular guest lecturer at the University of Hartford.
