Cortney Harding has spent much of her adult life at the intersection of the music business and technology. She served as the indies correspondent and music editor at Billboard and currently writes a column about music and technology for Cuepoint. Her book, "How We Listen Now: Essays and Conversations About Music and Technology" was released in January 2016, and she is currently co-editing an updated version of the Music Business Toolbox. Cortney also consults for a VR company and a cryptocurrency startup and is constantly thinking about how emerging technology can help artists tell better stories. She is a frequent speaker at conferences like SXSW, Further Future, Canadian Music Week, and the Right Tech Summit. Cortney has a BA from Wellesley College and an MPA from NYU, and spends her spare time running long distances and traveling.
