We offer a variety of career planning services:

CAREER COUNSELING AND PLANNING: EXPRESS CHATS

These 5-minute meetings are designed for quick questions such as resume and cover letter reviews. Familiarize yourself with TOCD’s resources, including online databases, helpful handouts, and trade magazines. Express Chats are available during the school year on Tuesday evenings and Wednesday afternoons. No appointment necessary! Sign in info is on the TOCD Calendar.

INDUSTRY CONNECTIONS & MENTORING

Looking for first-hand insight or advice from a working professional in the arts? Our Industry Network is designed to promote students personal and professional development. Students and recent alumni can connect with industry members through The NYU Violet Network and the New Graduates Mentoring Program.

INDUSTRY RESEARCH TOOLS

Stop by our office to conduct your career research. Browse our reference library which includes print and electronic versions of major entertainment trades and periodicals. Trades include Studio Systems, IMDB Pro, The Hollywood Reporter, Billboard, and Backstage.
