DPI Chair Deb Willis Gives Interview on Some Highlights of Her Life's Work

DPI Chair Deb Willis discusses her distinguished career, from her first book "Black Photographers, 1840-1940: An Illustrated Bio-Bibliography" to her time as curator of photographs and prints at The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture. Throughout her career the brilliance of her work has been recognized by the Guggenheim Fellowship and the MacArthur Foundation. 

Her recent involvment in the BLACK PORTRAITURE[S] lll: Reinventions: Strains of Histories and Cultures conference is discussed alongside her pioneering work in photography, by the New York Public LIbrary in "The Schomburg Legacy Lives On: The Genius of Deborah Willis."
