Visiting students and non-majors are invited to take classes during January Term, Spring at Tisch, and Summer. Earn credits towards your major or minor, build your résumé with an internship, or take classes to change careers. Come be inspired by New York City and our international sites.
The Office of Special Programs at Tisch School of the Arts provides access to the arts. Whether you’re an NYU or visiting college student, high school student or working professional, we provide you with the introductory exposure to the performing or cinematic arts and the advanced-level training to grow your craft.
The department invites you to attend Weekend on the Square, NYU's Admitted Students Day. This fun and informative signature event for admitted students takes place this year on April 14th and is packed with tours, discussions, and information sessions to prepare you for a successful four years at NYU.
Performance Studies will host an information session for admitted students and families on Saturday, April 14th, 11:45am - 1:30pm.
In short: Lots. Your day will include an academic information session with your dean, financial aid guidance, campus tour, residence hall open houses, and some interactive activities such as performers, a photo booth, and information on students groups.
Your day will start with a session here at the Department of Performance Studies. Meet Karen Shimakawa, Chair, Barbara Browning, Director of Undergraduate Studies, and Laura Fortes, Assistant Director, who will engage students in an interactive workshop. In addition, you will meet current undergraduate students who are eager to share their own experiences with you and answer any questions you may have.
Throughout the day, we'll have activities happening around campus that you can explore on your own schedule.
