Andrea Cesar was born and raised in P-au-P, Haiti. Her training in Haitian Folklore and other styles of dance began at a young age at the Institute de danse Lynn William Rouzier. Andrea is a dance instructor, performer and choreographer. She mainly focuses on Haitian Folklore and traditional West African styles of dances. She received her undergraduate degree from SUNY New Paltz. While at SUNY New Paltz, Andrea became the Assistant Director for a local dance studio at Beacon, NY. She is currently using her past experiences as a method to explore the aesthetics of live performances and the impact it has on the youth.
