CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS FOR ISSUE NO.1 OF ADJACENT POSSIBLE
An online journal of emerging media published by ITP
Adjacent Possible is a peer-reviewed online journal that will provide a much-needed publishing outlet for the wide range of creative ideas explored by ITP alumni, faculty, students and others in the field.
The term 'adjacent possible' refers to the surprising breakthroughs and sparks that arise from the collision of diverse elements — people, disciplines, mediums.
Adjacent Possible seeks thought-provoking research, commentary, and work relating to current discourse and emerging technologies.
We plan to publish two issues a year. Each will form around a concept unfolding from the adjacent possibilities of the submissions we receive. We imagine papers addressing topics like technology and its relationship to play, privacy, activism, unintended consequences, learning, physical space, movement, the environment, bad ideas... and whatever you are working on.
Each issue will include:
5-7 feature articles (2,500-3,000 words, plus media)
5-10 shorter articles (~1,000 words and/or media)
