No where else in the world can you find the range of disciplines in one school. Over the last 50 years as we forged new programs, built our home in New York and expanded to our global academic centers, institutes emerged. Each are built with shared values, common goals, and a priority for putting students first. The result – a place where artists and scholars create the future.
Visiting students and non-majors are invited to take classes during January Term, Spring at Tisch, and Summer. Earn credits towards your major or minor, build your résumé with an internship, or take classes to change careers. Come be inspired by New York City and our international sites.
The Office of Special Programs at Tisch School of the Arts provides access to the arts. Whether you’re an NYU or visiting college student, high school student or working professional, we provide you with the introductory exposure to the performing or cinematic arts and the advanced-level training to grow your craft.
JUNE 2018 - Here we come!
We are so so so excited to announce that ITP Camp is back again! Applications for ITP Camp 2018 are officially open!
ITP Camp is ITP’s summer camp for grown ups. It’s like the ITP graduate program put in the blender and smooshed into a month. It is ITP’s test kitchen, its R&D arm, its back of the napkin. It’s the place where we encourage you, our faculty, former students, colleagues, and community to experiment, challenge, and play. For 39 years ITP has been a hub of experimentation in art, media and technology. ITP Camp is where ITP tries the newest and edgiest on for size.
Beyond it being an opportunity to attend neat tech workshops or play with new toys, ITP Camp offers time and space for people of diverse backgrounds to come together, share ideas and skills, engage in critical discourse, and make things happen.
Here’s the info for this year:
DATES: Friday, June 1st - Wednesday, June 27th
FEES*: $1400 for the month
* Discounts available for Early Birds, ITP and IMA Alumni, NYU Faculty, and ITP Camp Alumni.
Because of its experimental structure, the content of camp changes every year. We don’t know what 2018 will bring but here are some assorted examples of sessions from last year:
