Student Elnura Osmonalieva discussed her short film Seide in a recent Film School Shorts interview. Seide was an offical selection at the Venice Film Festival 2015, the Sundance Film Festival 2016, the International Santa Barbara Film Festival 2016, Clermont Ferrand International Short Film Festival 2016, the Florida Film Festival 2016, the Atlanta Film Festival 2016, the Aspen Shortsfest 2016, and the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen 2016. It will be screened this year at the San Francisco International Film Festival as well.
In the interview she discusses going back to Kyrgyzstan to shoot the film, the theme of gender she explores within Seide, and her experience at NYU Tisch Grad Film.
