The Tisch School of the Arts has several spaces that are available for meetings, lectures or other events for Tisch Departments. These spaces are:

The Dean’s Conference Room

725 Broadway, Room 1260

The Dean’s Conference Room is available for use by Tisch staff and/or faculty throughout the year. Featuring a full projection and sound system as well as large easily movable tables, this space has the ability to host meetings, presentations, receptions, and luncheons.

665 Broadway Conference Room

665 Broadway, Room 617

The 665 Broadway Conference Room is available for small meetings by Tisch staff and/or faculty throughout the year. Equipped with a soundstation and monitor, this space is suitable for conference calls and team presentations for 12 people or less.

Riese Student Lounge*

721 Broadway, First Floor

The Dennis Riese Student Lounge is open for student, faculty, staff and guest use throughout the year. It is important for the lounge to remain open to the Tisch community as often as possible. However, reservations for partial or full closure of the lounge can be requested on a limited basis for meetings, events, orientations, receptions, and auditions.

*Please note the following additional guidelines regarding usage of this space:

  • Hungry Ghost Coffee Bar and Cafe: The Hungry Ghost is located in the Riese Lounge and operates 8am-8pm Monday through Friday. Any events that require closure of the cafe must be requested at least six weeks in advance to be considered.
  • Partial Closure: A partial closure of the lounge can be requested for any time. In this case the lounge and the Hungry Ghost Cafe must remain open and accessible to the greater NYU community. Requests must be made at least a week in advance of the event. The maximum reservation time for an event, including setup, is four (4) hours. Any costs associated with setup and cleanup are charged to the requesting department.
  • Full Closure: A full closure of the lounge is only available outside of the operating hours of the Hungry Ghost Cafe: Monday - Friday after 8pm, and Saturdays or Sundays at any time. Special requests to close the cafe and lounge during normal business hours must be made directly through tisch-room-reservations@nyu.edu and at least six weeks in advance of the event date. Any costs associated with the setup and cleanup will be charged to the requesting department.
  • Gallery Space:  To utilize gallery space in the Riese Student Lounge, a pre- load in meeting with Tisch Facilities Administration and the Dean's Office is required two weeks in advance of the installation.
  • Occupancy: Maximum occupancy in the Riese Student Lounge is 74 people. The requester is responsible for maintaining occupancy levels at all times. Large events where more than 74 people are expected will require a temporary permit for public assembly. Additional fees for permit filing and preparation will be charged to the requesting department. Minimum advance notice for an event requiring permitting is two (2) months from the event date.

Please note that access to book these spaces has been given to a select group of approved Tisch administrators. Reservation requests therefore imply departmental support of and responsibility for usage of the space. Any other staff, faculty, students or alumni seeking use of these rooms should identify the appropriate administrator within their department to submit a reservation request on their behalf.
