Logline: A new college grad returns to her hometown upon finding out about her childhood best friend’s suicide. Ridden with guilt about their complicated past, she takes it upon herself to finish her late friend’s garden project with the help of some unlikely companions.
Bio: Jamie grew up in San Francisco and enjoyed writing and movies from a young age. She spent much of her time in high school watching independent films, some of which inspired her to start writing scripts of her own. At Tisch, she majored in screenwriting with minors in film production and art history. She is interested in writing intimate stories with relatable characters. Her professional experience includes working in film development as well as distribution. Outside of film, Jamie’s interests lie in modern and contemporary art, which she spent six months in Paris studying. She also has a passion for social justice and one of her long-term goals is to work with an anti-sex trafficking org one day. She currently resides in New York where she continues to pursue her writing.
