THE MOST HATED MAN IN CHICAGO

WRITTEN BY:
Asher Farkas

GENRE:
Comedy/Romantic-Comedy

LOGLINE:
When Cyril, a die-hard Bulls fan and deadbeat bar-owner, unintentionally woos away Bulls Point Guard Godfre Bayalama’s girlfriend, the team enters a losing streak, which is blamed on Godfre’s disabling heartbreak, which is blamed on Cyril—so Cyril must befriend and fix this broken Face-of-the-League to save himself from his angry city, and his bar from sure foreclosure.

BIO:
Asher Farkas is a screenwriter who received his BFA in Dramatic Writing from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts in 2016. He grew up in Los Angeles and enjoys being asked why he moved to New York if he wants to write for the movies. One of his answers to this is that he also writes plays, many of which have had staged readings or small performances throughout New York City. Asher takes his craft seriously, but writes mostly comedies as he uses his stories to therapeutically work out the problems in his life. His themes often include friendship, falling in love, and falling in love with your friends.
