Johnathan, 42, a disinterested software engineer reeling in the aftermath of his wife leaving him, reluctantly aides his neighbor, Stacy, 15, seemingly forthcoming but all the while donning a mask that she doesn’t even know she’s wearing, as she attempts to find her missing father. As incidents between Stacy’s father and Johnathan’s wife dovetail, Johnathan, tired in the complete sense of the word, must awake from his stupor and confront his life and his role in it.
Joseph Filani completed his MFA in Dramatic Writing from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts in 2016. He also holds a BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and Computer Engineering from Duke University and has spent several years working as a technologist and digital designer. In 2015 Joseph was awarded Tisch's Future Screenwriters Fellowship. He writes screenplays, plays, and teleplays.
