THE GREEN SERPENT
Paris, 1660. Marie Catherine D’Aulnoy, a girl with a talent for story telling, is married off to a mysterious Baron nearly three times her age. As her marriage fails, she gains popularity in the Parisian salons with her stories and quickly climbs to the top of the social ladder. However, the higher she climbs, the more her enemies wish to see her fall. Out of her struggles came some of our most well known fairytales, including the inspiration for Beauty and the Beast.
Emily grew up in a small town in Pennsylvania where she developed a passion for fairytales and storytelling at a young age. Emily graduated from NYU Tisch School of the Arts in May of 2015 with a BFA in Dramatic Writing and minors in Film Production and Cinema Studies. During her time at NYU she wrote and directed the short film The Fate of the Damned. She has also interned at Atlantic Pictures and Bret Adams, Ltd. and worked as a production assistant on the Oscar nominated film Unbroken (2014).
