LOGLINE:
Lola, a 16-year-old teen runs away from home and embarks herself on a journey to meet Subcomandante Marcos, the leader of the Zapatista Revolution, thinking this mysterious man could be the father she never knew. During this adventure, she will discover more than a complex country, she will discover her own identity. 

BIO:
She holds a B.A. in Audiovisual Arts from the University of Guadalajara and completed her MFA in Dramatic Writing from NYU Tisch School of the Arts in 2015. Her feature script, Celestial Objects, participated at the Torino Film Lab 2010, Berlinale Talent Script Station 2009, CineQuaNonLab 2011 and received the Scriptwriters Fund from IMCINE 2011.  She is the Executive Producer for The Naptime, a feature documentary film that was granted with the TFI Latin America Arts Fund in 2013, received a special mention at the Belgrade Documentary Film Festival and was premiered internationally at the Rencontres cinéma D’Amérique Latin in Toulousse. She is currently producing Away from meaning a feature documentary film granted with the Tribeca Film Institute Latin America Arts Fund in 2015.
