Emie Hughes joined the Tisch Development team as Administrative Aide for External Affairs, Development, and Alumni Relations in the autumn of 2015. She handles gift processing and assists with department events, campaigns, and donor communication. In addition, she plays a major part in Tisch’s Gala preparations.
Emie graduated from Dickinson College Phi Beta Kappa with a major in Dance. At Dickinson, she was the recipient of the Weiss Prize in the Arts for her research and choreography on Italian Cinema, the Tarantella, and the female body in performance. She has performed at Danspace Project, Terminal 5, Bowery Poetry Club, and Federal Hall, and continues to present work in New York City. In addition to performing, Emie has worked in arts administration and production as the box office manager at Danspace Project and as administrative assistant for the choreographers Rebecca Lazier, Jennifer Monson/iLand, and DD Dorvillier. She is also a regular guest teacher and lecturer at the University of Hartford.
